SalvageMarket.co.uk, the UK’s premium online salvage auction from e2e Total Loss Vehicle Management [e2e], has been relaunched, taking advantage of latest technology to improve user experience and deliver a technically robust solution with the flexibility to adapt to future market needs.  As part of the relaunch, the new look Salvagemarket.co.uk logo firmly positions the auction platform within the e2e brand family.

There are 1000’s of vehicles available to purchase on SalvageMarket.co.uk with 100’s of new listings and many auctions taking place every week.   Bidders are rushing to register on the new auction platform.  In just three weeks since launch, SalvageMarket.co.uk can report a 25% increase in its subscribed bidder base.  The changing face of the UK car parc, and limited availability of new vehicles due to supply chain issues, continues to drive demand as people seek a trusted, reliable source from which to buy a used vehicle.  e2e is forecasting significant growth for SalvageMarket.co.uk in 2023.

The investment in the new platform is aligned to e2e’s strategy to drive added value to clients and network members through the adoption, integration and application of emerging technologies. Ongoing investment will be matched with operational agility, enabling Salvagemarket.co.uk to respond to bidder and market needs and reflect its service positioning as the ‘auction platform of choice’.

Jim Loughran, CEO of e2e said: “We worked closely with our existing bidders and network members in the run up to the launch to ensure a seamless transition from our old auction platform.  We are delighted with the result and the demand from new bidders to sign up.  Designed with an uncompromised focus on user experience, this is much more than a platform upgrade; we see it as one of a number of technology driven, strategic spring boards.  Building our services around the latest technologies opens up opportunities; in this case to enhance our auction offering with new functionality and to explore wider possibilities for developing future integrated solutions that add even more value for our bidders and our network members.”

SYNETIQ, an IAA company (NYSE:IAA), participated in Sheffield Hallam University’s Green Future AIMday as it continues to drive its sustainability strategy forward and helps to build a more sustainable future for motoring in the UK.

Global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, Copart UK, is delighted to announce that they are now officially an accredited Living Wage Employer.

By voluntarily paying the Living Wage, Copart is joining forces with thousands of organisations and businesses across the UK who understand the importance of paying their employees a fair and appropriate wage.

Copart’s Living Wage Employer accreditation joins a set of social responsibilities which the company supports and encourages their partners, stakeholders, and suppliers to align with.

This includes complying with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, providing an anonymous whistle-blower service, holding regular ‘one-to-ones’ and performance reviews to encourage two-way communication, and embedding equal opportunity awareness into all of Copart’s policies, procedures, and training.

Leanne Carroll, HR Director of Copart UK, said:

“As part of our ongoing Copart Cares CSR commitment, we are passionate about always acting responsibly when it comes to the wellbeing of our teammates and paying the Living Wage is just one way that we can make a positive impact.

“Not only is it the right thing to do, but it will also help us to attract and retain great people. Of course, we want to be seen as an Employer of Choice, but much more than that we want our teammates to know that we care about them, and this is just one tangible way for us to demonstrate that.”

In addition to always acting in the right and most responsible way, Copart is committed to providing teammates with a wide range of ways to connect and engage, and access financial, physical, and emotional support tools.

Earlier this year, the company launched ‘Copart Rewards’, their new internal communications and benefits platform which gives teammates access to discounts from a wide range of retailers, health and wellbeing support via a Wellbeing Hub, and interactive communication and engagement features.

Jane Pocock, CEO of Copart UK & Ireland, said:

“Putting our teammates first is one of the most important elements of our Copart Cares CSR strategy, so we’re delighted to achieve our Living Wage Employer accreditation and demonstrate our commitment to always acting in the right and most responsible way.

“We know that it’s the dedication and hard work of our people that makes us the success we are today, so we are committed to providing a comprehensive range of benefits and recognition tools, alongside a fair and supportive working environment, so our teammates feel valued and protected.”

Katherine Chapman, Director, Living Wage Foundation added:

“We’re delighted that Copart has joined the movement of almost 9,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum wage.

“They join thousands of businesses, as well as household names such as Burberry, Barclays, Everton Football Club and many more. These businesses recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer and they, like Copart, believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay."

Global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, Copart UK, is bringing investment and job opportunities to the Fife area with the opening of their new CashForCars.co.uk headquarters in Iona House, Kirkcaldy.

Launched in 2021, Copart UK’s sister company CashForCars.co.uk (which also incorporates Cash-For-Cars.ie) is the UK’s leading online car buying service.

Unique web-based technology enables customers in the UK and Ireland to sell their cars instantly, straight from their driveway.

Since launching in the UK and Ireland last year, CashForCars.co.uk has seen rapid expansion in line with growing customer demand for online used car sales, and as a result, has invested into new executive offices in Kirkcaldy, Fife.

Sourced in collaboration with Fife Council, this exciting investment is the next stage of Copart’s ambitious growth programme in Scotland, which includes the development of a new Operation Centre in East Kilbride.

The new CashForCars.co.uk headquarters at Iona House in Kirkcaldy, has improved road access and more modern facilities, providing both a better working environment and increased green credentials in line with the company’s Plan-Net-Zero sustainability strategy.

The team includes specialist vehicle buyers and skilled customer sales advisors, as well as technologists and marketeers who help customers to find CashforCars.co.uk and sell their car instantly.

The company is already anticipating further job opportunities as it ramps up growth plans and is actively recruiting for Customer Sales Representatives to help more people sell cars quickly, easily, and directly from their doorstep.

Mark Godfrey, Director of Strategy, Marketing & Copart Automotive, said:

“As we continue to increase our footprint in Scotland, we’re delighted to announce significant investment into the Fife area with the opening of our new CashForCars.co.uk HQ in Kirkcaldy, Fife.

“Our new spacious offices, with easier road accessibility and modern, energy efficient facilities, perfectly complements our ongoing Copart Cares CSR commitment to caring about teammates, customers, local communities, and the environment.

“As CashForCars.co.uk continues to grow, supported by Copart’s extensive operational capabilities, we fully expect to bring further expansion and job opportunities to this area of Scotland.”

Councillor Altany Craik, Fife Council’s Spokesperson for Finance, Economy, and Strategic Planning, welcomed Copart’s announcement. He said:

“Copart’s announcement to relocate and expand its operations at Iona House, John Smith Business Park, is extremely encouraging. The new premises will enable the business to grow and support the creation of a significant number of new jobs in Kirkcaldy, generating a significant boost for the mid-Fife economy.

“Copart is also the first business to take occupation of Iona House, following refurbishment works by Fife Council. The facilities will offer Copart a modern, flexible base from which it can develop and flourish, and we hope others will soon follow suit, with John Smith Business Park becoming a destination of choice for businesses.”

Cash For Cars is already a well-established global brand, with over 200 locations across the US, Canada, and Germany, buying cars directly from customers and re-selling them through Copart’s patented online auction platform.

Customers receive a free online quote within sixty seconds, a free nationwide home collection service normally within two working days of quotation acceptance, and a “Faster Payment” secure bank transfer at the point of collection.

Visitors to the Silverlake Automotive Recycling [Silverlake] stand at this year’s 63rd Curdridge Country Show, which took place on Saturday 16th July, found entertainment for all age groups.  A little different to your usual colouring activity, children had the opportunity to explore creative colouring with a salvage car acting as their real life canvas.  For the adults, there was the opportunity to test their dismantling skills by removing a coil pack and two spark plugs from a 2004 Vauxhall Corsa against the clock, with the fastest ten contestants featuring on a leader board on the stand.  The winner, Luke Beirne from Botley, Southampton is looking forward to his prize; the chance to crush a car at Silverlake’s Environment Agency compliant salvage and vehicle recycling site in Shedfield.   Funds raised from the day’s activities on the stand will go to Silverlake’s charity initiative UDonateacar.com

Established for 75 years, Silverlake is a large employer in the area and committed to giving back to the local community that has supported its growth over the decades.  In November last year the company relaunched its charity initiative UDondateacar.com, making it easy for people who sell a car to Silverlake to make a donation to community charities.

UDonateacar.com makes it easy for people who sell their vehicle to Silverlake to donate as little, or as much as they want from the sale to support small, local charities helping to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged people. Silverlake handles all the paperwork and transfers 100% of the donation to the scheme’s national charity partner, Global’s Make Some Noise, which provides grants to small charities that may otherwise be overlooked.  In the Southampton area, examples of charities benefiting from the grants include Abby’s Heroes supporting children, young people and their families with a cancer diagnosis and Yellow Door established to prevent and respond to domestic and sexual abuse.  Customers selling their car to Silverlake can also have it collected for free and the company handles all the DVLA paperwork, keeping everything hassle free.

Allen Prebble, managing director at Silverlake said: “The Curdrige Country Show is a fantastic community event and we have supported it for many years.  Coming back after the pandemic, 2022 was great fun for everyone and we loved being part of it with the activities on our stand. We have committed to raising £20,000 in twelve months through UDonateacar.com and we are determined to hit that target.  Community charities play a vital role and never more so since the pandemic and with the impact of the latest cost of living rises.  Sadly they can sometimes get overlooked in favour of the bigger charities, so we are delighted to be able to generate some attention and fundraise for them through our partnership with Global.”
