e2e and ABP join forces to produce the e2e Reclaimed Parts Report

e2e Total Loss Vehicle Management, the UK’s unique, nationwide vehicle recycling network, is delighted to announce, that in association with the ABP Club, it has conducted research into the use of reclaimed parts by insurers and bodyshops.  The e2e Reclaimed Parts Report will be published on the e2e website and Company LinkedIn page and distributed with the ABP Quarterly Magazine on April 4th.

Jim Loughran, CEO at e2e commented: “e2e provides insurers and bodyshops with access to the largest inventory of quality graded, warranty assured, provenance tested, OEM reclaimed parts in the UK; available from our nationwide network of vehicle recyclers, all of whom are certified to the VRA UK Standard for Reclaimed Parts. In 2022, our members re-invested £20,000,000+ into facilities and infrastructure supporting the supply of reclaimed parts and our clients benefit from a return rate of <3%.  We believe, for the reclaimed parts market to mature effectively and deliver maximum efficiencies and mutual benefits to insurers and bodyshops, the sourcing and supply process must be better integrated across all parties.

We have undertaken this research, in association with the ABP Club, in order to gain understanding and insight into the processes and decision making behind the use of reclaimed parts for insurers and bodyshops.  In asking the questions, and listening to what works well and what creates challenges; we can inform our thinking and continue to evolve our proposition to ensure that, as a network, we deliver a next-generation service that truly responds to market needs.”

David Cresswell, Chairman at the ABP Club said: “The accident repair industry has seen a huge growth in the use of reclaimed parts, as shown in the recent 2022 ABP State of the Industry Report: 79% of bodyshops now fit them and 74% told us that the volume fitted had increased in the last 12 months.  Gaining a deeper insight into all aspects of reclaimed parts from our bodyshop and insurer members is something we see as being vital in ensuring this continued growth in their use.  Understanding the benefits, and challenges of reclaimed parts in the accident repair industry and sharing this information with everyone will hopefully help to shape the way this important element of the repair process is managed in the future.”
