Online vehicle remarketing company Copart UK have expanded their fleet with an investment in 30 new

DAF based specialist salvage transporters. These new 8-car transporters will fortify Copart UK’s

industry leading vehicle collection service as the business continues to grow.

The DAF CF chassis are being converted to Copart standards by specialist transporter builders Belle

Trailers and Hunwicks Engineering. Four of the new vehicles were delivered in August 2017 and are

already fully operational. All 30 vehicles are scheduled to be delivered and operational by the end of

November 2017, in readiness for the busier winter period.

Drivers using the new vehicles are already enjoying the benefits of the latest engines and driver aids

such as lane departure warning and emergency braking. These features make the vehicles more

efficient and safer to operate and the new 8-car body means they’re also more productive in operation.

Operations Director, Simon Sheldon-Wilson, said: “This is a significant addition to our fleet which is

already the largest of its kind in the UK. Our investment helps us to continue to deliver industry leading

collection times in response to ever-growing demand from insurance and automotive customers. Speed

of collection means costs are managed and vehicles can be prepared and presented for sale more

quickly.”
